Sanctuary Advisory Council meeting

The Sanctuary Advisory Council will hold a public meeting on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at the Sanctuary Room of the Tauese P. F. Sunia Ocean Center to discuss national updates from the Office of National Marine Sanctuaries and local updates on the E/V Nautilus expedition, Ocean Literacy Working Group's recommendations, and partner agencies. Established in 2005, the Sanctuary Advisory Council provides advice and recommendations on managing and protecting the sanctuary and generally holds public meetings biannually.

Fautasi Heritage Exhibit

Discover the significance of fautasi (Samoan longboat canoe) as a living maritime cultural heritage in American Samoa. Launched in April 2019, the Fautasi Heritage Exhibit features the largest collection of historic fautasi images, alongside historical content developed as part of an ongoing Maritime Heritage Program initiative.
